Bath Life celebrates the best of city living. Published fortnightly, it includes the very latest on property, arts, dining and shopping, in the beautiful city of Bath
Whether you’re a long-standing Bath Life reader or have only just discovered the magazine (in which case, where have you been for the last five years?), a very warm welcome to our birthday issue.
We felt that the best way to mark our 100th birthday was to offer up a celebration of the city that made it all possible, and as a result this issue is a positive paean to all things Bath. It’s also something of a retrospective, as we look back over 99 cover properties and discover how the local market has changed in five years.
In place of our usual Out and About feature, we’ve come up with 100 reasons for living in Bath (as opposed to, say, Swindon) – have we listed your favourite places and events? If not, what do you feel we should have included?
We also have two very special interviews. The first is with a true English great – Sir David Attenborough, who is in Bath this month to sign copies of his new book. The second is with Jane Austen, who for fairly obvious reasons rarely speaks to the press, but who has made an exception for our special issue.
Our regular contributors have also got into the spirit – Nic talks about the current crop of local authors, Jennifer looks at Bath in the movies, and Caroline assesses our Green record – is Bath doing its bit to save the planet? We also feature some wonderful photos of old Bath that have been sent in by our readers– we’re delighted that this has turned out to be such a popular feature.
We also discover that the Bath Life offices have been sheltering three talented artists, while Kate wonders what she’d buy as a present if she was a visitor to the city. We also sample the delights of the Bath House Spa and recently-opened Circus restaurant .
Scroll down the page to find out more about the BIGGEST competition we have ever run and all the T&C's to go with it...
Plus we have also launched the Bath Life Shop , more details to follow in the next issue but do take a peek.
All of which merely skims the surface of our biggest and best-ever issue. Thank you for being a part of it all.

We have had some great competitions over the past 100 issues of Bath Life, from a luxury spa membership to a trip to New York. So we thought we’d go all out for our extra-special, jumbo-size, celebratory 100th issue. One winner could win more than 50 fabulous prizes; winner truly takes all...
